𝗣𝗔𝗞-𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗺: 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 | 𝗝𝗮𝗻. 𝟯𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 The PAK-Laum outreach program, led by the Bataan High School for the Arts, seeks to bring healing and hope to the community of Bataan through art and music therapy for PWDs, senior citizens, and individuals facing mental health challenges. PAK-Laum, inspired by the Waray word “paglaum,” meaning hope, is an innovative outreach initiative launched by the Bataan High School for the Arts (BHSA). The program aims to bring art and music therapy to different sectors in the community of Bataan, helping individuals express their feelings and find solace through creative means. The success of the PAK-Laum initiative continued on January 31, 2025, with a performance of the students of Bataan High School for the Arts and various art activities with senior citizens of Bagac. The PAK-Laum outreach program is a testament to the power of art and music in bringing hope, healing, and unity to those in need across Bataan and hopefully reaching the different corners of the world. This event was made possible with the support of Bagac Elementary School, PSWDO Bataan, MSWDO Bagac, Mariveles Mental Wellness and General Hospital, Office of the Senior Citizen—Bagac, Bagac Friendship Centennial Lions Club, and work immersion students of Bataan National High School Arts and Design Track.
